Profile
Mr Nijjar qualified in Medicine at the University of Birmingham in 1994. He completed surgical Training in the West Midlands but also trained in Thoracic surgery in Liverpool. Mr Nijjar spent time researching Cancer of the Oesophagus and completed a further degree at University College London. After completing his training in the UK he spent time in Japan, improving his experience of Gastric surgery and then worked in the University Hospital of Adelaide for a further year.

“I can’t recommend him as a surgeon highly enough.”
Mr Nijjar is a gentleman. Honest, compassionate and completely transparent in his consultation and aftercare with me. I wasn’t the easiest of patients. He could have abandoned my surgery and completed his list on time but he didn’t and was still operating on other patients well into the late evening because of me. He didn’t care about cost nor did he bat an eyelid when he wanted me to stay two extra days in hospital to recover, at their expense not at mine. I can’t recommend him as a surgeon highly enough.

“My Gastric sleeve has changed my life!”
Mr Nijjar is a gentleman. Honest, compassionate and completely transparent in his consultation and aftercare with me. I wasn’t the easiest of patients. My surgery took a lot longer due to complications that no one could have foretold. He could have abandoned my surgery and completed his list on time but he didn’t and was still operating on other patients well into the late evening because of me. He didn’t care about cost nor did he bat an eyelid when he wanted me to stay two extra days in the hospital to recover, at their expense not at mine. My gastric sleeve has changed my life. He didn’t promise me a quick fix but he did give me the tool to make the changes I needed too. I can’t recommend him as a surgeon highly enough.
